Propuesta metodológica para la mejora operacional en ductos mediante análisis de programa de bombeo utilizando la filosofía LEAN

A pipeline is one of the most practical ways to transport hydrocarbons of different physicochemical specifications to refineries or export to other countries in order to meet a demand in a given time. For this, it is necessary to program pumping liquid hydrocarbons, considered one of the most difficult tasks in pipeline transportation due to the requirement of logistics knowledge, product quality, pumping system hydraulics and one of the most complex, to achieve the fulfillment of that program by the SCADA operators. This work aims to mitigate the complexity of the deviation due to non-compliance of the program generated by the human factor, through the implementation of tools and techniques of the Lean manufacturing methodology, which facilitate in the identification of those "waste" that generate an increase in the energy consumption and consequently higher transport costs. The tool developed in this thesis, will allow the programmer to interact directly with the operation and the operator to interact directly with the development of the pumping program 75% because the methodological approach allows to reduce up to 30 minutes the lag of the pumping program vs what is executed by the control room operator. The mathematical model has successfully solved the scheduling of a real pipeline involving the transportation of five petroleum distillate products over a 10-day time horizon previously programmed by another mathematical model.
