Biljana Petrevska was engaged as a Trainer to deliver lectures on:
1)Tourists' role preference patterns; and
2)Developing tourism recommender at local level.
Abstract 1: TOURISTS' ROLE PREFERENCE PATTERNS
The main aim is to give a presentation on the varieties of roles that a tourist may have in accordance to his travel and tourism preferences. Generally, a brief introduction is made referring tourist’s life-course. Based on obtained knowledge, the participants are guided through an exercise. The main aim of the Exercise 1 is to develop skills for identifying tourist needs and preferences. The outcome is expected to be identified and created personal tourist profile.
Abstract 2: DEVELOPING TOURISM RECOMMENDER AT LOCAL LEVEL
The main aim is to present basic guidelines and framework for designing tourism recommender. Participants are introduced with the methodology for developing recommendation system. An example of already developed and successfully implemented hybrid recommender in Macedonia is elaborated. Based on obtained knowledge and background materials, the participants are guided through an exercise. The main aim of the Exercise 2 is to develop skills for designing applicable web-based platform.
