Paralytic brachial neuritis with diaphragmatic paralysis

PARALYTIC BRACHIAL NEURITIS is a radiculoneuritis of undetermined etiology. Single or multiple nerve roots or peripheral nerves may be affected. This case report describes an unusual contralateral recurrence of brachial neuritis on the right side eight years after its first appearance on the left. In both attacks the hemidiaphragm was paralyzed on the same side as the shouIder girdle. Respiratory insufficiency was significant in both attacks.
