Genetic Algorithm for the Discrete Time/Cost Trade-off Problem in Project Networks

According to the characteristics of the discrete time/cost trade off problem(DTCTP) in project networks,an effective genetic algorithm for solving the project deadline problem was developed. A strategy to obtain effective time/cost curve is presented based on this genetic algorithm. The code scheme,genetic operators and algorithm structure are also described. The computational results for a large number of project instances reveal that the genetic algorithm is effective for the DTCTP.
