Pre-tensioning method is applied to most prestressed concrete members manufactured in precast factory, which does not need anchorage device. The pre-tensioned member has transfer length at ends, where effective prestress is limited due to the lack of anchorage resistance. Thus, shear strength at member ends is greatly influenced by effective prestress in the transfer length. In this study, the effect of effective prestress on shear strength of prestressed hollow core slab has been evaluated by experimental investigation.
