Desalination of Sea-water

It is proposed a process for desalination of saline water (1), comprising the steps of: - arranged providing an ice store (3), a refrigeration consumer (5), an outside of the ice store (3) heat exchanger (7) and a refrigerating machine (9); - initiating (100) the saline water (1) in the heat exchanger (7); cooling is carried out of the heat exchanger (7) by means of the refrigerating machine (9) so that within the heat exchanger (7) an at least partial conversion of the introduced salt water (1) on ice (11) -; - at least partial removal of the ice (11) from the heat exchanger (7); - storage of the ice away (11) in the ice bank (3); - cooling of the refrigeration consumer (5) by means of the ice store (3) so that at least a partial melting of the stored ice (11) takes place at a product water (42); and - rejection (103) of the product water (42) from the ice storage (3).
