Meeting Reports The Expert, the Policeman and the Lawyer - An Eternal Triangle

This is an edited report of a local evening conference of the Forensic Science Society held in Strathclyde University on 21st March 1980. Following a word of welcome from Professor Tilstone of the Forensic Science Unit of Strathclyde University, the Chair was taken by Dr W. J. Rodger, Director of the Strathclyde Police Laboratory who, after a few brief comments, invited the speakers Mr J. T. Fitzsimons, Senior Lecturer in Criminal Law, Strathclyde University, Detective Chief Superintendent A. McRae, Head of C.I.D. Operations, Strathclyde Police and Mr S. S. Kind, Director of C.R.E., Aldermaston and President of the Forensic Science Society, to present their papers.
