41Cr4 gear steel and production method thereof

The invention relates to 41Cr4 gear steel. The 41Cr4 gear steel comprises, by weight, 0.40%-0.43% of C, 0.15%-0.35% of Si, 0.65%-0.75% of Mn, 0.020%-0.040% of S, 1.05%-1.15% of Cr, 0.15% or less of Mo, 0.20% or less of Cu, 0.020%-0.050% of Al, 0.0003% or less of B and other residuals. The residuals include 12*10-6 or less of [O], 0.018% or less of P and the balance Fe and a small amount of other elements. Narrow-band and uniform control over all the elements is ensured, and thus the requirement for full-hardenability narrow-band control of fifteen hardenability points is met.
