A method for predicting psychological response to external noise when listening to speech, based on fuzzy set theory

The relationship between the human psychological responses to external noise when listening to speech is first considered using membership functions, the support of which is signal-to-noise ratio. Next, a method for predicting the psychological response using the concept of fuzzy probability is proposed. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is experimentally confirmed by application to observed data. The theoretical calculations are in good agreement with the experimental results.
