Research on Integer State Observer in Current Control for PMSM

The state observer structures based on integer operation in digital current closed-loop control for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is considered in this paper. The state observer can predict the currents and overcome the filter delay just as it can suppress the noise of samples, which can heighten the response frequency and improve the disturbance rejection capabilities. The state observer based on integer operation can fulfill on microprocessor control unit (MCU) and ensure the calculated precision and speed. Experimental results demonstrate the predictable effects of the state observer and the improvement of the system performance. Furthermore, the influence of parameter variation on the observer response characteristic and system performance is also discussed in the paper.
