Skin Fold Dermatitis in Douala: Prevalence, Etiology and Associated Factor

Introduction Dermatitis of folds or intertrigo, is an inflammatory condition of the skin folds or opposing skin surfaces induced or aggravated by heat, moisture, maceration, friction and lack of air circulation [1-4]. The moist damaged skin associated with skin fold dermatitis is a fertile breeding ground for various microorganism (bacteria, yeast or fungi), and secondary cutaneous infections are commonly observed in these areas [1, 3, 5, 6]. *Corresponding author: Ngaba GP, Faculte de Medicine et des Sciences Pharmaceutiques de Douala, Cameroon.
