Direct Torque Control of Induction Motors Based on Fuzzy Space Vector Modulation Technology

A new direct torque control (DTC) strategy of induction motors based on fuzzy space vector modulation (SVM) technology was proposed. In conventional SVM-DTC, two PI controllers are used to generate the two components of reference voltage vector. A torque fuzzy logic controller was designed to substitute the original torque PI controller, and a fuzzy SVM-DTC system based on the fuzzy controller was given. The torque fuzzy controller has two inputs (torque error and its change rate) and one output (the torque component of reference voltage vector). Finally, simulations were carried out to verify the proposed strategy, and the simulation results were compared with conventional SVM-DTC. The simulation results indicate that the proposed fuzzy SVM-DTC strategy can improve the system robustness.
