Research on an integrated management platform of knowledge-based innovation design of ornament

In the popular ornament industry, it is very important to enhance the rapid design capability of designers, because the popular ornament is characterized by short life cycle and strong seasonal affection, which results in major fluctuation of the market requirements. Aiming at the design characteristics of the popular ornament, an integrated management platform framework of knowledge-based innovation design of ornaments is developed based on the ornament knowledge base and model library. With studying on the designing and developing process of ornaments, a knowledge management system is introduced, and the innovation design system and the structure design system of ornaments are integrated in the platform; the function modules of the platform are designed, including knowledge acquiring, knowledge transforming, knowledge classifying, knowledge maintaining, knowledge discovering and knowledge distributing. The management platform is structured for a popular ornament enterprise, and it is profitable to reduce the lead time and development cost of ornaments.
