Short term load forecasting based on RBF neural network

This paper analyses the characteristic of load curve in certain area and introduces a new model to forecast the load value of every hour in the next day. RBF neural network used in the model and the implementation of the network are described and compared with the traditional BP network. The numerical results are presented to show the efficiency and accuracy of the model. This can be a useful method to artificial neural network short-term load forecasting.
