Accumulation, regulation, and social change: an essay on French political economy

Over the last ten years, what can be called the "regulation approach" has become one of the most important paradigms in French political economy. Although not yet a unified approach, it nevertheless provides a set of recurrent concepts, and, more important, a common understanding of the process of capitalist development.
