Implementation of CIM-based high-speed power network topology analysis

To achieve software integration and information sharing, the International Electro technical Commission promulgates IEC61970 standard. The standard has created a Common Information Model (CIM). And the Common Information Model (CIM) provides a logical view of the physical aspects of energy management system (EMS) information. With the introduction of CIM model, power system has set off a wave of reform in many advanced application software. And the network topology is the basis for power system analysis software. This paper, based on the related research on network topology analysis, proposes a CIM-based high-speed power topology model. The topology analysis contains two steps: firstly, combine the connectivity node to form the topological node; secondly, partition the network to form topological island. Based on the classical depth-first search traversal algorithm, a specific method of dynamic topology analysis is also proposed in the paper using the model above. It combines global and local topological analysis to achieve high-speed topology analysis.
