Dynamic resource acquisition: distributed carrier allocation for TDMA cellular systems

A simple model for microcell traffic is proposed, and the problem of dynamically moving the limited radio spectrum among the microcells to accommodate the large traffic variations is considered. Emphasis is on the allocation of carriers to microcells, where each carrier is capable of carrying several conversations (voice channels) simultaneously.<<ETX>>
