Optimization of Drum Boiler Unit Commitment Based on Life Management Strategy Named Life-extending Control

The model aimed at minimizing coal expenditure can get the lowest coal cost,but simultaneously does more harm to the boiler drum's life because of the resulting big and frequent parameters fluctuation.A life-extending control(LEC)strategy is introduced to the unit commitment with life loss considered.Because the power loads vary tougher than before,this model is a more practical unit commitment scheme for power plant.Stochastic particle swarm optimization(SPSO)algorithm is introduced to the optimization process.Since the SPSO algorithm can quickly search the optimal solution,the speed and decision demand can be satisfied simultaneously.The results show that the model proposed can save 1 393 yuan per day than mean unit commitment method with less drum life loss than the latter.
