Influence of Pregnancy on the Time of Presentation of Primary Breast Cancer

Epidemiologic studies have identified a protective effect of early first full pregnancy on the risk of developing breast cancer.' At its maximum effect, however, there is only a two-fold reduction in risk and it is evident that large numbers of parous women present with this disease. In this light the present preliminary communication examines the association of pregnancy with the time of presentation of primary breast cancer.
