Research on Algorithm of NC Turning Machining Tool Path Planning and Generation

As an important function of the NC turning machining auto programming system,research on algorithm of NC turning machining tool path planning and generation has important significance to the realization of the NC turning machining auto programming system.The paper exacts outline information of turning part by analyzing the structure feature of DXF files and using Visual C++6.0 according to the actual enterprise requirements.The part profile is divided into inside profile and outside profile by analyzing comprehensively the characteristics of the turning parts and utilizing the revolving structure of the turning parts.The algorithms of NC turning machining tool path planning and generation are studied and realized respectively for the cylinder turning machining,the end face turning machining and groove machining.A practical examples show that the proposed algorithms are satisfying.
