Data management and statistical methods used in the analysis of balanced chromosome abnormalities in therapy‐related myelodysplastic syndromes and therapy‐related acute leukemia: Report from an International Workshop †

The database analyzed in this series of reports contains demographic and clinical information on 511 individuals with therapy-related myelodysplastic syndromes (t-MDS) or therapy-related acute leukemia (t-AL) and a balanced chromosome aberration. Here we describe the central data collection and data management procedures undertaken by the Workshop participants, the data-processing steps performed in preparation for statistical analysis, various coding conventions, and the statistical methods utilized in the Overview and subgroup reports.
