Method of Quickly Recognizing Vehicle Plate Based on Pattern Matching and Characteristic Dot Matching

A method which can recognize vehicle plate quickly is discussed. Firstly, the image of vehicle plate must be preproce ssed, and then the image is segmented by the method of vertical projection, fina lly the character of the image is recognized by using matching recognition and c haracteristic dot recognition. By this technique, the vehicle plate can be recog nized more quickly and more correctly.
