Method and system for switching control of a hybrid vehicle

A method and a system for switching control of a hybrid vehicle, which prevent an internal combustion engine slip by controlling a switching time, which occurs when under adverse driving conditions, a transmission torque of an engine clutch is larger than an allowable transmission torque can comprise: (a) detecting an engine torque, (b) determining a driving torque of an engine clutch based on the engine torque, (c) comparing the determined driving torque and a predetermined allowable transmission torque of the engine clutch, (d) increasing a current switching time to a predetermined value when the estimated driving torque is greater than the tolerable transmission torque, and using the increased switching time.
