This paper present the protective system for PV grid connected system using LVRT capability. We know that increasing capacity of PV systems in the grid, the grid-connected PV systems may get negative impacts on the grid in case of a disturbance. In this condition, a strategy of LVRT is given to protect the system. During the period of low voltage ride through (LVRT), the circuit breakers are remain open. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method that the LVRT is achieved, system gets protected and response quickly traced. Also MPPT is provided to boost converter to get maximum output from PV array using P & O mehod. Throughout LVRT capability is realized successfully. Finally, the control strategy is verified in MATLAB/SIMULINK.
