Contact allergy to undecylenamide diethanolamide in a liquid soap

showing that it is too high. Patch tests were performed with Van der Bend square chambers on Fixomull (Beiersdorf) and test material from Chemotechnique. The oleamidopropyl dimethylamine had a purity of about 99%, with a residual content of dimethylaminopropyl amine below 0.2% and a water content below 1% (data provided by the raw material supplier). The tests were applied for 2 days and read and graded, according to ICDRG guidelines, at 2 and 3 days. Contact Dermatitis 1992: 27: 191
