Navigation over multilingual content using one concept space: Controlled experiment

Adaptive navigational support over the content available in different languages was tested in a controlled experiment. Adaptive web system XAPOS was developed and used for personalized navigation of two groups of users for two adaptive methods comparison. The used personalized adaptation approach is concept-based and adaptive algorithm uses concept space and keywords in English. However, the content is available in Czech, Turkish and English languages. Multilingual content is presented in language-corresponding user interface. The first statistical results seem to be good, navigational pattern analysis found usual patterns of the navigation of the user's behaviour for both Czech and Turkish participants of the controlled experiment. The most visited content was recognized and shown as a feedback for discussion and its corresponding modifications.
