The image generation method comprises steps that, an initial image is acquired through an image acquiring device; at least two image layers including a processing layer and a background layer are generated based on the initial image; processing on the processing layer and/or the background layer is carried out; the at least two image layers are merged to acquire an image. Through the method, customized image shooting can be carried out in real time, and better user experience is acquired.
