Packet data traffic analyzing apparatus and method in mobile communication network and service monitoring apparatus and method based on the packet data traffic analysis

PURPOSE: A packet data traffic analyzing apparatus and method in a mobile communication network and a service monitoring apparatus and method based on the packet data traffic analysis are provided to offer more statistics and detailed information for investment of a mobile communication network. CONSTITUTION: A Ethernet separating unit(510) is connected between an IWF(Inter Working Function)/PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node)(400) and S/H(Switching/Hub), router(600) and discriminatively receives user IP packet data as Tx/Rx. A traffic analyzing unit(520) receives an encoded bit stream from the Ethernet separating unit(510) and analyzes packet data traffic by layers of an OSI(Open Systems Interconnection) model. A statistics storing unit(530) stores result data analyzed by the traffic analyzing unit(520) through packet data received through the Ethernet separating unit(510). A statistics referring unit includes a GUI(Graphical User Interface) and provides statistics information in a form desired by a user by searching various data stored in the statistics storing unit(530).
