Complex Query Expansion Based on Weighted Shortest Path Length in Key Term Concurrence Network

We build a key term concurrence network based on a large-scale document set. On the basis of the concept of the shortest path length in the large-scale key-term complex network, we propose a novel method of query expansion for complex query, which is a kind of short text. We accomplish information retrieval task for complex query expressed in natural language to testify the performance of the query expansion method. Experimental results show that our novel method turned out effective, but need to acquire good initial analysis for original complex user query.
