A server and method for on-line study game

A server and a method for a match-typed online learning game are provided to enable multiple game users to advance the game through the wired/wireless network in a state not concurrently connected to the server without waiting an online state of a counterpart even if the counterpart is an offline state. The server(10) includes a database pool(30) including a member information database(31) storing an ID/password, communication information, game level, and points of each member, a problem bank database(32) storing problems of each learning type, and a message database(33) storing messages transferred to the members, and a game managing module(20) transceiving information with the first and second member terminal(40,50). The game managing module includes a member managing module(21), a level/point managing member(22), a counterpart selecting module(24), a problem selecting module(25), a message managing module(26), and a match result processing module(27) changing the points of the first and second member by comparing a learning result of the first and second member.
