Process Control and Operating Experiment of Integrated Online Circulation Equipment for Electroplating Rinse Wastewater

An integrated online circulation equipment for electroplating rinse wastewater was developed and matched with high-functional PLC program to optimize the whole process. The equipment includes cleaning and concentrating systems. The highest and lowest electric conductivity of water in rinse tank could be set to achieve automatic startup and shutdown,control the make-up water and assure water quality in rinse tank. During operating experiment,wastewater was continuously concentrated until the nickel content achieved 20 306. 9 mg / L,while electric conductivity of clean make-up water was always below 50 μS / cm. The electric conductivity of water in rinse tank was maintained at 120 to 260 μS / cm, and heavy metal accumulation in the water did not occur. This process could be used for renovating old electroplating production processes and online circulation of electroplating rinse wastewater in newly-built electroplating production lines.
