Probabilistic Approach of Description of Thyristor Converter Faults due to Parasitic Impulses

This paper presents a study method of faults linked to parasitic impulses in thyristor converters. In the proposed method control signals are presented in vector form allowing the generalization of parasitic signals. An evaluation of probability of correct operation becomes systematic both in the study of evolution of the system and in the detection of malfunction. An example is given to illustrate the implementation of the method.
