A cooperation based cache scheme in UMTS/WLAN hybrid network

In this paper, we proposed an architecture of cooperative cache for UMTS/WLAN hybrid network. Users can communicate with each other through WLAN domain in the hybrid environment. Based on the performance comparison of traditional cache and cooperative cache, our analysis shows that a leap of user experience can be achieved by WLAN side cooperation. In addition, we discussed three directions of web caching design for mobile networks.
