Documenting decision models for informed and confident decisions

The authors present a framework for documenting decision models as well as guidelines and heuristics for using it. The framework is based on the idea that users are typically not interested in the model per se, but on how the model relates to their problem. The relationship between the model and the problem, therefore, is the target of documentation. The framework consists of classes of relationships that must be documented. The heuristics guide in the identification and documentation of instances from these classes when documenting a specific use of the model.<<ETX>>
