Novel Approach to Bi-axial Coordination Control Based on Motion Control Bus

Improvement of contour precision is one of important issues in counter-following applications.Currently cross-coupled control method is widely adopted in industrial motion the controller,which can significantly reduce contouring error composed by multi axis.In conventional cross-coupled control system,however,the position loop must be implemented in computer numerical controller.Thus it results in many disadvantages such as augment of computing task,degradation of control performance,and so on.This paper analyzes the numerical control system structure,cross-coupled control characteristics and motion control bus technology,proposes a novel approach to bi-axial coordination control based on motion control bus.The advantages of this method is analyzed in theory,and verified in practice through experiment.Making fully uses of currently advanced numerical motion control bus and servo in motion control,this novel method is consistent with the technology development of motion control system.
