Systems of Combinatory Logic Related to Quine's 'New Foundations'

The author exhibits a system TRC of illative combinatory logic, and shows that if TRC is consistent, Quine's set theory "New Foundations" is consistent, because NF can be interpreted in TRC. The system NFU of Jensen, which differs from NF by a restriction on extensionality, is known to be consistent relative to ZFC. The author exhibits a system TRCU resembling TRC except for a restriction on the axiom of extensionality, and shows that it is consistent relative to ZFC by constructing a model.
