The invention discloses a biological petri dish management system and method based on a radio-frequency technology, wherein the system comprises a biological petri dish, a storage shelf, a read platform, a clamping manipulator and a master control computer; a radio-frequency tag is embedded in the biological petri dish; the storage shelf comprises storage tanks which are arrayed, and are used for storing the biological petri dish; the read platform comprises an operating desk and a radio-frequency reader-writer, and the radio-frequency reader-writer is used for reading and inputting the information of the biological petri dish; the clamping manipulator comprises a base, a rotary motor which is positioned on the base, an air cylinder which is connected with the base, and a clamp which is connected with the air cylinder; and the master control computer is connected with the radio-frequency reader-writer and the clamping manipulator. The biological petri dish management system and method based on the radio-frequency technology are convenient to operate, are low in cost, have high safety, and can be used for well completing the unified management of a great quantity of biological samples.
