An improved version of a sequential design criterion for discriminating among rival multiresponse models

The problem of the sequential design of experiments for discriminating among rival models has been investigated by several authors. Different procedures have been recommended and recently reviewed by Forzatti er al. (1986). In this paper we present a procedure of sequential design of experiments for discriminating among rival multiresponse models developed along the lines of Buzzi-Ferraris et al. (1984) but significantly improved. A theoretical justification is presented which finally leads to the use of a slightly different algorithm for the selection of the new experiment. The method is illustrated with examples.
