The invention discloses a selection method and a device of internet-surfing functions for a data card. The method includes determining whether the data card is connected with a personal computer (PC) within set time after an internet surfing selection function of the data card is open; and if connected, opening the internet surfing function of a MODEM, and otherwise, opening the internet surfing function of a wireless fidelity (WIFI). According to the method and the device, specific internet surfing selection functions are selected according to the connecting condition of the data card with the PC, therefore user requirements of different internet surfing functions on request are satisfied, user experience effects are strengthened, and the performance of the data card is improved.
