AN APPROACH FOR TRAFFIC STATE ESTIMATION USING INVEHICLE INFORMATION

In this paper, the authors present two schemes for model based estimation of the current state on freeway sections using loop data and in-vehicle trip data. It is shown by simulation results that trip data may contribute to reliable estimates of if the correct time reference is taken into account.
