Developing a Business Model using Open Source Software: A Tourism Case Study

Using open source software within a business model for a tourism industry initiative has given rise to several issues. The two themes of open source software and business models are examined to provide context for the development of a business plan for the case. The issues are discussed within the context of the Harmo-TEN project to identify the advantages and problems that arose in developing the business plan. Reflections on the case study are given.
