Mobile end-user service adoption studies : A selective review

Even though technological, business strategic and behavioral requirements should be met to obtain widespread adoption of the end-user 3G services, the behavioral demandside adoption requirements are focused upon in this paper. To understand the adoption requirements of end-users, analyses of their context-specific and role-specific behavior when adopting such services should be conducted. Much research has already been conducted on end-users' adoption of traditional mobile networks services, such as voice and messaging services. In this paper, we provide frameworks for categorizing this research and present representative research on adoption behavior. Using the frameworks, we also identify research questions and areas of research that have been given little attention in existing research, but may be of particular importance to understanding the adoption of 3G services.
