Token-based channel access method oriented wireless industrial control networks

After the feature of industrial control networks is introduced,the shortage of some familiar WLAN(wireless local areanetwork) MAC(media access control) protocols such as MACA,MACAWand IEEE802.11 are analyzed,and a MAC protocol basedon token control is presented to suit the WICN(wireless industrial control network).Logical ring under wireless link is defined;tokenresume and data frame acknowledge mechanisms are particular introduced.Then a simulation trial is made to compare the protocol withthe CSMA/CA protocol by use of OMNeT++ concrete event simulation platform.The results demonstrate that the protocol ensures theimpartiality of channel medium access,reduces the transmitting delay of data and meets the instantaneity requirement of WICN.
