Test and Rating Methods for Electrical Vehicles Performance Evaluation in China

For evaluating performance of electric vehicles comprehensively and objectively, a test procedure（EV- TEST） was formed to test and rate pure electric vehicle performance in five aspects. The procedure includes test methods for range, energy consumption, charging, safety and power performances, and methods to rate these performances are also defined, which can provide comprehensive information for evaluating EV performance with direct and quantity results on a fair and objective ground. The rating results are expected to guide consumers to buy and use BEVs, and help to promote technology condition and benefit the development of EV industry at the same time.
