Research on the deformation of a crankshaft's compound follow-up turning

The crankshaft workpiece will have elastic deformation under the effect of cutting force in the process of compound follow-up turning,which will lead to the phase error of rod neck.And this may lead to scrapping when the error is too big.The error may be able to be compensated after analyzing the phase error.Based on the force analysis,research was carried out on the phase error caused by cutting force,and ANSYS software was employed to calculate the deformation extent of rod neck.Analysis showed that the deformation was a dynamic value in a rotation cycle,and the Max was 3.46.
