DATA BASE ALERTERS AND MESSAGE FILTERS

This paper presents the basic concepts of data base alerters and message filters. Research problems on the specification and decomposition of user models are discussed. The relevancy of fuzzy sets theory to the design of fuzzy message filters is then discussed.
