New generation of filament-wound composite pressure vessels for commercial applications

Composite pressure vessels made by continuous winding of fibrous tapes reinforced in longitudinal and transverse directions are studied and proposed for commercial applications instead of traditional isotensoid vessels designed for minimum mass and made by winding of unidirectional fibrous bands.
