Crack Growth Failure Probability of PM Turbine Disk

A failure probability function, considering the randomness of stress and fracture parameters, is established and the numerical method to calculate the life of subsurface crack is proposed in this paper. Hasofer Lind method is adopted to carry out the analysis of the failure probability of powder metallurgy turbine disk. With the sensitivity analysis, the approaches to increase the reliability of engine are proposed, which is instructive in engineering. Monte Carlo and β sphere simulation are carried out to test the accuracy of the used method.
