Demonstration of VCSEL Multi-modulation Using Digital Communication Circuits for CPT Atomic Clock

As the digital communication circuit could operate up to several or even hundred gigahertz, this paper is to demonstrate the architecture of the circuit system based on the digital system for coherent population trapping (CPT) atomic clock. A vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) multi-modulation circuit based on digital communication circuit was designed and realized. Test results showed that the digital communication circuits could be possibly used in CPT atomic clock.
