Design and Realization of IPTV STB Based on AVS Decoding Chip DS1000

The design and realization of an IPTV STB based on AVS decoding chip DS1000 is proposed.In hardware design, the special IPTV processor is used to process the decoding audio signal and output TV signal.In the software design, the embedded Linux operation system is used, and the drivers based on the character device are adopted on the basic layer.Meanwhile, the special decoding processing steps of DS1000 make the decoding of AVS streaming media broadcasting more efficiently and fluently amd make user interface much friendly.
